Description
The Rose of Sharon is a traditional 18th century style sampler, with a
beautiful rose and lily border, and includes an alphabet and biblical verse.
It is stitched on 32 count tea-dyed linen using twelve different sampler
stitches in nine shades of rose, gold, blue and green.

This design is not suitable for stitching on Aida, unless
worked entirely in cross stitch

- Design Size: 7.6" x 9.8" on 32 count linen

Stitches Used: Algerian eye, Arrowhead Stitch, Cross Stitch,
Double Running Stitch, Long Armed Cross Stitch, Marking or Reversible Cross,
Montenegrin Stitch, Queen or Rococo Stitch (upright and diagonal),
Rice Stitch, Satin Stitch, and Smyrna Cross.
Skill Level:
Suitable for expert stitcher. It is possible to work the design using
cross stitch only, in which case an ambitious beginner could attempt it.
