Cross Stitch Guild
Founded by Jane Greenoff, the Guild was set up in 1996 as an independent organisation
to bring together cross stitchers from the UK and abroad. It delves into all types
of counted thread embroidery, not just cross stitch, and is based in beautiful

Embroiderers Guild (UK)
Founded in 1906, the Embroiderers Guild is considered to be the UK's largest
single craft organisation with over 160 Branches throughout the country, and
is the British national educational charity for the promotion of embroidery,
its heritage and its future. The Head Offices and Resources Centre occupy
Grace and Favour apartments at Hampton Court Palace.

The Sampler Band
A group of over 100 stitchers got together in 1997 to act as an internet
sampler support group. By working together on the same project, group members
are able to offer help and support to each other, and to inspire each other
with their progress. Stitching abilities range from the beginning to the advanced
stitcher. This year (1998) the chosen project is the Newburyport Sampler.
